New double track railway

The operation of a double-track railway connecting Serpong, Banten and Tanah Abang was opened by President Yudhoyono on Wednesday, July 4, 2007.

With its 24,5 km length, the double-track railway is said will add the capacity from 78 trains to 130 trains per day. Tavelling time will be shorten significantly.
During the test last month, the total passenggers from Serpong have icreased up to 30%. There will be a range of choices for Rp5.000, Rp10.000 (with AC) and Rp8.000 (express) tickets.
