Death toll reaches 90

On Saturday, November 3, 2007 at the Hospital Persahabatan Jakarta, ES —a woman from Tangerang, Banten— has died from bird flu.

The office of the Health Ministry released the information on November 7, yeseterday.
Es has showed bird flu symptoms on October 23, was taken to a local clinic on October 28, later to a local hospital on October 30 and finnaly was taken to Persahabatan Hospital in Jakarta where she died at 13.30 on Saturday, November 3.
Es had contact with dead poultry before infected with the disease.

Therefore, from 112 bird flu cases in Indonesia, the death toll has reach 90. The Case Fatality Rate (CFR) is 80.35%. In Jakarta, from 26 cases, 23 people has died.
